General Product Information
Micro Star 2.705 & MMG-041

The Hydrogen Shop has been building PWM circuitry for the alternative energy community for a considerable period of time. There has always been a requirement to up-grade and develop better technology.
In the latest PCB design we have tried to incorporate as much flexibility and as many functions as possible to suit the needs of the user. A cost effective design has been created.
The base circuit that supports the function of the Micro Star is also the base circuit that supports the pulse motor controller MMG-041. A simple comparison of the circuit drawings clearly reveals that they are one and the same.
Blue outlines the MS 2.705 and green outlines the MMG-041.
The Micro Star’s primary function is to support the fracturing of water into HHO gas in water fuel cells by use of a PWM pulse. There is more literature on this function.
The pulse motor driver MMG-041 was developed to deliver accurate timing for the
control of motor generators like the Robert Adams concept motor.
The function of these two circuits is completely different. They work on totally different principles; however, the same hardware is able to be used with some small differences and major software changes. The versatility was obtained by reprogramming the micro controller.
Keep in mind, if you buy one you always effectively have the other by simply changing the program. The program can be obtained from The Hydrogen Shop by email if you have the hardware to flash the chips. Alternatively, you can send the device back and we will reprogram the chip at no extra cost other than postage.

An option that both units have is Q1 and Q2.
They are onboard power, output transistor.
In general design it is expected that the Micro Star will use the external output amplifier, i.e. the Nova Star, because of the expected high current output required to extract HHO from water. You will need to make a request if you want Q1 installed with your Micro Star. Q1 can be supplied with either unit by request.

The opposite is true for the MMG-041.  It comes with Q1 and Q2 as standard because, as a pulse motor driver, lower load currents are expected.  If you need to draw high loads and need to isolate the circuit you can order the MMG-041 with the Nova Star.
You will of course need to have some idea of the expected conditions under which the units will function, or you can email The Hydrogen Shop with your designs and we will try to guide you.
In the Micro Star, the resistor R10 is inserted in circuit, including all of the key functions and negating Q2. Q2 is not available to the Micro Star.
Both units have jumper-settings for signal inverters and supply-rail switching.
The Nova Star can be connected to either unit by Connector 2.

The signals from the output at connector 2 switch the LED in the opto-coupler on the Nova Star. Standard LED drive principles apply.
